On September 14, 2008 Old Suwanee Celebrated 180 years of ministry  in the Sugar Hill, Buford, and Suwanee Community. Hundreds came out for the commemoration and enjoyed a variety of events.  A special dramatic presentation of the pioneers who moved to the area and formed the church made  a great impact on the observers.  Many artifacts, as far back as 1828, along with a large number of pictures and media presentation reminded all of the great heritage of this Church. The events were well attended as the church committed in a special service to carry on the great heritage given to them. Special Guests included: State Senator Renee Untermann,  State Representative Bobby Reese, and Sugar Hill Mayor, Gary Pirkle.
