I consider it an honor to be the pastor of one of the most effective churches in our community. Since it was established in 1828, Old Suwanee Baptist Church has proclaimed the timeless Gospel message to thousands. The foundation laid by our forefathers in the faith has left us with a great Christian heritage and sacred responsibility. I intend to carry on the ministry that was so ably developed by Pastor McHoyt Moore and that has been given to me by the Lord and His people.

Our mission is simple in scope--to reach men, women, boys, and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and then to disciple them to serve Him in newness of life. Matthew 28:19 says, "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost."

Our church and school key verse is Psalm 119:105: "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." Our ministry is based upon the Bible.

Our vision is the world as given to us by Christ. We are to spread hope, peace, and life by the preaching of the Gospel. Jesus said in Mark 16:15: "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."

The scope of our ministry begins in our community and extends to the uttermost parts of the earth. Acts 1:8 says, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

More than ever before, the American family needs a strong church home that preaches and teaches the Bible where they can be strengthened in the Lord and live fruitful lives for Christ until He comes.  Just as my family has been blessed by the Old Suwanee family of God, I know yours will be also.
